Oston Jemba Madengue aka Jemba (he, him, his)

Executive Director & Co-Founder

Jemba as he is affectionately known, Co Founded JADV in 2007 as a grassroots organization while in 6th grade. In 2016 the organization received Non profit status as a 501(c)(3) . Jemba in 2014 Oston studied International Business at John Cabot University in Rome Italy as a degree seeking student. While in Rome Jemba served DV Victims at "Casa Della Donne". Upon returning to the United States, he completed the Political Science AA Degree program at Los Angeles City College. Currently Oston is studying Non-Profit Management Domestic Violence, and Packaging Design at California State University Long Beach.

Colette Amin (she, her, hers)

Publicist, Programs Director & Co-Founder

The birth mother of the organization, in 2007 Colette the first iteration of the Toy Drive at St. James Elementary School. She organized a school wide collection, inspiring a charitable spirit of giving. Colette also has worked organizing cultural events, curating art exhibits, working on Italian television and more. As our Programs Director and Publicist for JADV our organization continues to grow and serve more DV survivors each year.
